Ira Lynn Padgett, of Marquez, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at St. Joseph Medical Center, at age 60. Arrangements are pending at this time and this website will be updated when they are known. Ira was born September 23, 1950 to Ira Padgett and Rilla Dale (Walts) Padgett at Ben Hur. He grew up in Marquez and lived most of his life in Marquez and Groesbeck. Ira worked all his life as a heavy equipment operator and driving trucks. He worked on highway construction, and a few years at Camp Cooley Ranch, and for several years for Limestone County, and also for Lawrence Sims. He has been married to Vivian Hall for seven years and they live in Marquez. Ira was a man who loved his mother, and his wife, and his children, and especially loved his grandchildren. And in addition to his family, he really loved his dog, Pistol. He was a Methodist. Ira was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, Rilla Dale Lewis of Groesbeck; his wife, Vivian Hall of Marquez; five daughters, Tracy Miller of Jewett, Tammy Cargile of Jewett, Vickie Hime of Buffalo, Virginia Roby of Normangee, and Krystal Hall of Marquez; and one son, Jesse Hall of Normangee; thirteen grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
