Nathan, known to everyone as “Nate”, was born on July 7, 1975 at Houston, Texas to William O’Neal Thompson and Georgia Jean (Hauser) Thompson. He grew up in Groesbeck, where he graduated from Groesbeck High School, in the Class of 1993. He lived his whole life, since two years old, in Groesbeck, working for S&S Machine Shop, and at the family’s "Tire Shop", as an auto mechanic, tire repairman, and with their wrecker service. Nathan had a lot of knowledge of events in history, as he was a 24-hour a day fan of the History Channel on TV. Nathan was baptized into the Baptist church. He had battled cancer since his first surgery at six years of age, and especially in the last ten years. Nate’s greatest love in life was his family, including his nieces and nephews, and especially the young great nephews; and he loved to pick on everyone. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his mother and father, Georgia (Jeannie) and William (Bill) Thompson of Groesbeck; maternal grandmother, Lillie Hauser of Houston; daughter, Sara Thompson of Houston; son, Austin Hullett of Groesbeck; brother, Terry Thompson of Rockdale; brother, Larry Thompson of Groesbeck; sister, Leya Hoover and husband Hershel Hoover of Groesbeck; brother, Steven Thompson of Houston; sister, Patricia Wright of Waco; brother, George Dyess of Groesbeck; aunts, Jane Hauser and JoAnn Humphrey of Houston; nieces, Ashley Hoover, Jeannie Hoover, Jessica Thompson, and Samantha Thompson, all of Groesbeck; nephew, William Barton of Kosse; and nephew, Larry Thompson, Jr. of Groesbeck; great nephews, Braxton Hill, Bryson Hill, and Brady Hoover of Groesbeck; lifelong friends, Daniel and Leah Cherry, Billy Bob Hastings, Dylan McGuffey, and many other friends.
