Samuel Wayne (Sami) Castlow, 5-1/2 year old son of William Randy Castlow of Thornton and Jessica Lynn Johnson of Groesbeck, left behind many grieving family and friends this past Sunday, July 10, 2011. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 14, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Groesbeck Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 15, 2011, at the Church on the Rock in Groesbeck, with Sam Walton and Pastor George Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Mexia City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Seth York, Robert Weathers, William Johnson, Jonathan Hawkins, Aaron Bell, and Buddy Walton. Sami was born in Tucson, Arizona on December 19, 2005. The family moved to Groesbeck where he has lived since he was 8 months old. Sami completed Pre-K in Groesbeck this year, which he loved. He loved to fish and ride his bike, and especially playing with his older brother and best friend, Bubba. In every picture and in person, he had bright shining eyes and a glowing smile on his face. He never knew a stranger and loved everyone. Sami is survived by his mother, Jessica and his father Randy; his brother, Jeremiah “Bubba” Castlow of Groesbeck; his maternal grandparents, Mark Wayne and Joan Weathers of Waco and grandfather, William Lee Johnson of Mexia; paternal grandparents, Edith and Larry Castlow of Jewett; godparents, Sam Walton of Thornton, and Ronda Preston of Groesbeck; maternal aunts and uncles, Robert and Kathryn Weathers of Tucson, AZ, Lisa Weathers of Tucson, Amanda and Pascal Contreras of Groesbeck, William Cassidy and Leslee Johnson of Panama City, Sonora York of Groesbeck, Seth York of Groesbeck, Hannah York of Groesbeck, and Katherine Johnson of Groesbeck, and many cousins, other family and friends; and in his father’s family, there are many aunts and uncles, cousins and many, many friends, including his Pre-K teachers and classmates.
