Kimberly Dawn Gilbert, of Kosse, passed away unexpectedly at Limestone Medical Center in Groesbeck, on Sunday, October 2, 2011, at age 36. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, October 7, 2011, at the Central Baptist Church of Thornton. Kimberly was born on March 2, 1975, to Clifton Lee Doss and Nellie Mae (Fellers) Doss at Austin. She grew up and and graduated from High School at Los Fresnos. Kim obtained an Associates’ degree as a Pharmacy Tech. She lived most of her adult life in Spring, and had moved to Kosse in the past year and one-half. She was a dispatcher at the Limestone County Sheriff’s office in Groesbeck. Kim was a Baptist and attended the Cowboy Church outside Kosse and the Central Baptist Church of Thornton with her girls. Kim enjoyed playing computer games and movies, and was an avid mortorcyclist with her friend, Jack, and loved being a good mother taking care of her two girls. Kimberly was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Windall Doss. She is survived by her two daughters, Jessikah Gilbert and Modestie Gilbert of Kosse; a brother and sister-in-law, Mack and Norma Doss of Victoria; a sister, Tracey Diane Brown of Temple; her special friend, Jack Copsey and Lucas Copsey of Spring; best friend, Jonnie Mortensen of Kosse,and friend, Russel Carroll, of Kosse; "Mom", Barbara Frazier of Kosse; as well as her dispatch family from the Sheriff’s office.
