Gladys Lorene Martin passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011, at the Limestone Medical Center in Groesbeck, at age 86. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 18, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Groesbeck Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Tod Tanner of the First Baptist Church of Groesbeck officiating. Burial will be in Parkdale Cemetery in Arlington at 2:00 P.M.,Wednesday. Gladys was born to Edna & Henry Webb on January 28,1925 in Limestone County, Texas. She comes from a large family of 6 brothers and 4 sisters. She worked as a waitress, as well as being a homemaker for many years. Gladys had a passion for cooking and gardening.She loved to plant gardens and grow beautiful flowers. Her biggest passion was her family. As a hobby, she loved to collect clocks of various shapes and sizes as well as collecting small trinkets. Gladys was a caring person to all who knew her. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Thomas (Buddy) Martin. She is survived by her children, Roger Freeman of Groesbeck, Cecile Bragewitz of Lewisville, Edward Anderson of Waco, David Anderson of Groesbeck, Janet Claridy of Groesbeck, and Bettye Grantham of Austin. Her eight grandchildren are Angela Anderson of Waco, Crystal Pack of Groesbeck, Jennifer Price of Anthem, AZ, Jessie Fetter of Lewisville, Weldon Anderson of West, Robyn Claridy of Marshall, Troy Claridy of Whitney, Skeet Anderson of West; and four great-grand children, Stephanie Fetter of Lewisville, Michael Fetter of Lewisville, Jordan Pack of Groesbeck, and Lindsey Price of Anthem, AZ. She is also survived by three sisters and five brothers.
