Roger Dale West

Roger Dale West, 43, of Kosse, TX, was killed Thursday, December 22, 2011. Visitation will be Wednesday, from Noon until 7:00 P.M. at the Groesbeck Funeral Home and also Thursday A.M. until Noon. Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the Seale-Round Prairie Cemetery, with Bro. Leslie Wilcox officiating. Roger was born February 2, 1968 in Pasadena, TX. He graduated from Danbury High School in 1986. He was also a member of the Boilermaker Local Union 74 in Houston. He presently resided for the past 3 years with his mother and stepfather, Mark and Loretta Barker of Kosse. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael F. West of Luling, TX.; his half-brother, Dusty Blake Vasut; and his maternal grandparents, Bill and Geraldine Dempsey of Groesbeck. Roger is survived by daughter, Megan West Bang of Danbury, and daughter and son-in-law, Whitney and Andrew Peterson of Thornton; brother and sister-in-law, Gregory and Geralyn Vasut of LaGrange, along with nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his uncle, Lynn Dempsey of Kosse, aunts and uncles, Susan and Raymond Smith of Montgomery and Helen Dempsey of Montgomery; and numerous cousins.
