The following written by Mozelle’s niece, shows the type of person she really was: “Mozelle Henson was one of the greatest ladies I have had the privilege of knowing. She was a caring, loving woman, and you did not have to be one of her biological kids to feel like you were one of hers. She was ever encouraging, loving and teaching. Aunt Moz was a wealth of knowledge that she was always willing to share. She loved to learn and share what she knew with all of us kids. I always felt loved and wanted when I was around her and she made everyone of us kids feel that way; there were never too many kids for her, the more the better. She was my second Mother, my adviser, and my best friend.” That was Mozelle Henson, ever caring, ever loving and always there. She will truly be missed. Mozelle was preceded in death by her husband, Audis Henson; her parents, Edgar and Ada Jordan; sisters and brothers, Esther, Oleta, Ollie, Murlene, Aline, Alvia, and Odell. She is survived by her two daughters, Claudis Mozelle Harris and her husband James “Jamie” Harris of Groesbeck, and Judith Juanelle Terry of Mexia.
