Marvin Pete Mills of Groesbeck, passed away at home with his family at his side Wednesday morning, February 29, 2012, at age 90. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the Pavilion in Faulkenberry Cemetery, with Rev. Steve Nance officiating. Pete was a member of the Thornton United Methodist Church and a member of the American Legion Post 288. He proudly served in the Army Air Force as a B-29 bomber radar technician. Pete later retired from General Dynamics in Fort Worth as an electronics technician after 40 years. He enjoyed Louis L’Amour novels, John Wayne movies, Wheel of Fortune, and model railroading. Mr. Mills was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Mills and Mary Ann Spakes Mills; son-in-law, Jay Siler; three sisters, Turzie Howell, Barbara Miller and Clara Wade. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Ann Trotter Mills; daughter, Donna Siler of Lake Jackson; grandson, Gage Siler of Houston and great-grandson, Nicholas Siler of Conroe and many community friends.
