Oscar Leon Rogers, Jr.

Oscar Leon Rogers, Jr., formerly from Kosse, passed away at Park Plaza Nursing Home in Whitney on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at age 78. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Kosse City Cemetery, with Charles Echols of Cyril, Oklahoma officiating. Oscar was born June 8, 1933 to Oscar Leon Rogers, Sr. and Sarah Rachel Headley Rogers in Waco. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict. Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Bethel Nelson Rogers in 1991. He is survived his son and daughter-in-law, Wesley Leon and Kelli Echols Rogers of Oklahoma City, OK; granddaughter, Rachel Elizabeth Rogers, and grandson, Nathaniel Leon Rogers, both of Oklahoma City.
