Rose Louise Naida

Rose Louise Naida, of the Midway community near Groesbeck, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2012 following a very brief illness, at age 80. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at the First Baptist Church, 500 Webster Ave., Waco, TX 76706. Rose was born on October 22, 1931, to Joseph and Mary Ontl in the State of New York. She married Joe Naida, her husband of 64 years, on June 26, 1948. She worked at an A&P food processing manufacturer in New York. After the family moved to Midway, Rose was known in Groesbeck to many from her employment as a cashier at Josie's Drive-In. She was also a caregiver at First Baptist Preschool of Waco for several years, caring for infants. Rose had a sweet, gentle, and loving spirit. She will be missed by the many people who knew and loved her. Rose was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Annette Lababera; sons, Carl Naida and Danny Naida; and brother, Joe Ontl. She is survived by her husband, Joe Naida; sons, Joey Naida, Eddy Naida, Richie Naida, Greg Naida, and Rory Naida; daughters, Rose Chapman, Linda Marshall, Sue Sturgill, Lori Hickman, and Cathy Moran; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
