Barbara Frances Davis

Barbara F. Davis, of Groesbeck, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the Limestone Medical Center. She was 81. Barbara was born September 24, 1930, to Lindsay and Mildred Kindrex at Annona, Texas. She grew up and attended school in Arkansas. Barbara and her family moved from Clute to Groesbeck in 1971, and three of her four children, Rosemary, Edna, and James, graduated from Groesbeck High School. She retired from Park Plaza Nursing Home in Groesbeck. Barbara loved to read, and garden, and work on her family genealogy. She was a loving, caring, and wonderful person, and will be greatly missed. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, R.H. Davis; son, Wallace Eslick; granddaughter, Kristen Eslick; sisters, Ruby Puckett, Jannie Jones, Gladys Gilsdorff; brother, Henry Kindrex, Tillman Kindrex, Elgah Kindrex, and Delbert Kindrex. She is survived by two daughters, Rosemary Tobias of Waco, and Edna Kendrick and husband Ricky of Bryan; son, James Eslick of Coppell; four sisters, Clara Hood and husband Bill of Bryant, AR, Lorine Mason and husband Curtis of Dothan, AL, Joneth Hilton of Paducah, KY, Linda Gilmore and husband Bill of Allen, OK; daughter-in-law, Rita Eslick of Brandon, FL; grandson, Joseph Eslick, granddaughters, Jacqueline Peery, Jessica Peery, Thais Eslick, Jamilee Eslick; great granddaughter, Angel Zepeda; and her loving pet, Banny Baby. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Lara’s House in Mexia.
