Mary Lou was born September 1, 1928 to Walter Bruce Cobb and Lorene (Scoggins) Cobb at Frankell, Texas. Growing up, the family lived in many different towns while her father worked in the oil fields, so she attended many different schools. She graduated from beauty college in Clovis, New Mexico and operated her own beauty salon awhile. Mary Lou married Roy A. Lehrmann on August 23, 1957 in Pecos (Reeves County) Texas. The family also moved around while he worked in the oil field and she was a mother and housewife. They had lived in Eunice, New Mexico until 1968 when they moved to Groesbeck for a couple of years, and she worked in Mexia at the furniture factory during this time. They moved back to West Texas, and then finally back to the Groesbeck area in 1991. For several years, she helped Roy who was doing contract mowing on the highways in Erath County, by doing the weed-eating and moving the truck. They also provided their granddaughters the opportunity to earn school money working with them. Mary Lou cooked, and sewed, and enjoyed arts and crafts, but her special talent was in loving and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She and Roy provided a loving home for little Hunter, Garrett, Heather, and Taylor, day and night, from the time they were babies, for many years. She and Roy were charter members and very active in the Faith Lutheran Church in Mexia. Mrs. Lehrmann was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Walter Bruce Cobb, Jr. (in 1974), and her sister, Norma Sue White (in 2011.) She is survived by her husband, Roy Lehrmann now residing in San Antonio; daughter and son-in-law, Lexie Lehrmann Potter and husband David Potter of San Antonio; son, Lynn Lee Dickey of Bandera; grandchildren, Brandi McCain, Brad Lee Dickey of Austin, Betsy Dawn Miller of Fort Worth, Billie Rose Potter and Amanda Lyn Potter, both of San Antonio; great grandchildren, Hunter Lane Teel, Garrett Allen Harmon, Heather Cheyanne Sims, and Taylor Marie Sims; and a brother, Ray Cobb of Groesbeck.
