Terry Dwayne Tanner

Terry Dwayne Tanner, a recent resident of Groesbeck, and formerly of Houston, passed away at Groesbeck LTC on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at age 61. Terry was born May 19, 1951 in Shreveport, LA to Clinton LaVell Tanner and Hazel (Smith) Tanner, and grew up in Houston. He learned craftsman skills from his father, and was a residential carpenter in the Houston area. He lived at Porter with his mother and brothers for many years, and enjoyed raising chickens, and quails. After health problems two years ago, Terry moved to the Groesbeck area to be near his sister and other family members already living in Groesbeck. Terry was preceded in death by his father; sister, Linda Thompson and sister, Ann Phillips. He is survived by his mother, Hazel Tanner of Groesbeck; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Adam Collett of Groesbeck; brother, Donnie Tanner and wife Claudette of Alvin; brother, John Tanner of Porter; brother Clinton Tanner of Groesbeck; and aunt, Evelyn Nolen of Waller.
