Richard Keith Woodworth, of Old Union, passed away at his home on Friday July 26, 2013. A direct burial by family members will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, July 29, 2013, on Mr. Woodworth's property. Richard was born August 15, 1957 to George Woodworth and Betty (Cunningham) Woodworth in Kosse. After the family moved, he graduated from high school in Pasadena in 1978. In 1979, he began his career as a boilermaker, and was a member of Local Union #74. He worked on construction of power stations in Texas, Colorado, and other states, and retired December 1, 2010. He always considered Limestone County as his home, and had bought property near Old Union ten years ago. He moved full-time to his home there in September 2012, with the intention of always keeping the property for his family. He enjoyed gardening and cooking in many BBQ competitions, and riding his Harley Davidson. He also loved his animals, with his current dog being Abbott. Richard was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his long-time companion, Kim Bailey of Old Union; sons, Shawn Woodworth and wife Angela of LaPorte, TX and Brian Woodworth of LaPorte, Tx; grandchildren, Melanie, Tigerlily, Mia, Ethan, Waylon and Kennadi of LaPorte and brother, Michael Woodworth and his wife Linda of Texas City, TX as well as a host of neighbors and other close friends.
