Glenda Ann Gregory finished her journey on earth on Saturday, August 17, 2013. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Groesbeck Funeral Home. Glenda's going home service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Greg Sackett, long-time family friend, will officiate the service. Interment will be at Big Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Great, great nephew, Austin Hall, Church friends, Jim Willis, Warren Miller, Chris Henson, Ben Watson, and family friend, Patrick Nicks. All family and friends are invited to the home of Lynn and Tonya Glass afterward to celebrate Glenda's life. Glenda began her journey on May 23, 1938, and married the love of her life Clyde Gregory, August 18, 1956. Glenda accepted Christ at the age of 10 and was baptized at the First Baptist Church of Groesbeck. At the time of her journey’s end, she lived in Groesbeck in the same home she and Clyde built together in 1959. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Groesbeck, where she was responsible for the church outreach ministry. She was always involved in school activities when her children were young. She was a room-mother countless years throughout the children's school years. Glenda also loved being a Girl Scout leader and a baseball mom. She worked at Evans Corner Drug Store, and Pharmacy Plus. Later, she was the manager of Walls Outlet in Groesbeck. When her husband became ill, she was a dedicated, compassionate partner until his journey’s end. Her unending love for him was a true inspiration. Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, John Weldon Wilson and Johnnie Lucille Wilson, a sister, Nelda Ferrill and a brother, Cullen Wilson. She is survived by a sister, Marceline Gantt. She is also survived by three children, Randy Gregory of Waco, Tony Gregory and wife Cindy of Mart, and Tonya Gregory Glass and husband Lynn of Groesbeck. Glenda has three grandchildren, Kim Gregory and wife Brandi of Mart, Kylie Glass of Groesbeck, and Cheyenne Gregory of Palestine. She has two great grandchildren, Max and Zoe Gregory of Mart, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Glenda's great niece, Colleen Gantt Ostrom for the countless hours she spent with the family at the hospital.
