Marguerite "Margaret" Juanita Dempsey

Marguerite "Margaret" Dempsey passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Providence Health Care in Waco. Funeral service were held Monday, September 16, 2013 at Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Royce Smith from Weatherford (and former minister at Bethel Baptist Church of Groesbeck) officiating. Burial followed in the Seale-Round Prairie Cemetery. Marguerite was born September 22, 1922 to James Harvey and Elva Pearl (Lindley) Murray at Oletha. She married Theodore Gibbs "Dobin" Dempsey on July 12, 1940. She was a charter member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Angleton, and attended Bethel Baptist Church while living in Groesbeck. Mrs. Dempsey was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers and sisters; her husband, Theodore Gibbs "Dobin" Dempsey; and her older daughter, Sandra Sue Dempsey Emmitte Willy. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Dempsey of Groesbeck; grandsons, Mark Anthony Emmitte of Houston and Christopher Keith Emmitte of Houston; granddaughter, Toni Marie Emmitte Hanson and her husband, John Spencer Hanson of Angleton; great granddaughters, Rachel Marie Hanson and Sarah Kristine Hanson of Angleton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
