Doyle Carlock

Doyle Carlock, age 79, of Ulysses, Kansas died Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at The Legacy at Park View in Ulysses, Kansas. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 30, 2013, at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses, Kansas, with Pastor Gerry Dupuis officiating. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 4, 2013 at Faulkenberry Cemetery in Groesbeck, Texas. Doyle was born October 25, 1933 in Cleburne, Texas, the son of Lois George and Johnnie (Warlo) Carlock. Doyle grew up in the Waco, Texas area. He married Mary Nabors in Mexia, Texas. He worked in construction operating a Maintainer for many years. He has lived in Ulysses the last several years. He loved fishing and watching John Wayne movies. Doyle was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one granddaughter. Survivors include his children, Debbie Barfield of Corpus Christi, Texas, Dee Dee Fanning and husband Mike of Ulysses, Kansas, Duane Carlock, Denise Sena of Clovis, New Mexico; two sisters, Janell Moss of Teague, Texas and Teresa Burns of Round Rock, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements in Kansas are in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant, Ulysses, KS 67880. Locally, the graveside services are under the care of Groesbeck Funeral Home.
