Antonio Palomo-Sotelo

Antonio Palomo-Sotelo, of Groesbeck, passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 1, 2014. He was 35. Visitation and Rosary will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2014, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be at 12:00 Noon on Monday, January 6, 2014, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mexia, with Father Benji Magnaye officiating. Burial will follow in Faulkenberry Cemetery in Groesbeck. Antonio was born in Guanajuato, Mexico on July 28, 1978. Antonio had been living and working in Groesbeck, and raising a family here, the last twelve years. He was well known in the Groesbeck area with his lawn and tree service. He was a great father, husband, but also a great friend. He was a very bright and cheerful man; there will never be another like him. He is survived by his wife, Juana Baldares of Groesbeck; daughter, Jessica Palomo, sons, Juan Antonio Palomo and Enrique Palomo, and daughter, Vanessa Palomo, all of Groesbeck; his mother Maria Carmen Sotelo of Mexico; brother, Enrique Daniel Palomo of Groesbeck; brother, Jaquin Palomo, and sisters, Rosa Palomo, Maria Elena Palomo, and Teresa Palomo, all of Guanajuato, Mexico; and other extended family. The Antonio Palomo Memorial Account has been established at the Farmers State Bank of Groesbeck for anyone wishing to make donations for the family in their time of loss.
