Starley Carroll “Pete” Fenton of Thornton passed away at the Limestone Medical Center on Thursday, September 11, 2008. Visitation will be 9:30 to 11:30 AM Monday, September 15, 2008 at the Groesbeck Funeral Home, Inc. Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, September 15, 2008 at Faulkenberry Cemetery with Rev. Robert Fenton officiating. Mr. Fenton was born September 16, 1930 in Ben Hur, TX to Carroll Herbert “CH” and Arlis (Foreman) Fenton. Starley was a retired general contractor and rancher. Starley was preceded in death by his parents Carroll Herbert “CH” and Arlis Fenton. Mr. Fenton is survived by three sons, Carroll Lee Fenton and wife Lydia of Orange Park, FL, Robert Earl Fenton and wife Kimberly of Lindale, TX and John David Fenton and wife Candace of Austin, TX; step-son, Todd Byrd and wife Londie of Marion, TX; step-daughter, Michele Patton and husband Jody of Lockhard, TX; twelve grandchildren; and sister, Joy Fenton of Groesbeck, TX.
