Mildred Davis

Mildred Davis, of Spring, formerly of Oletha, passed away at her home in Spring on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Visitation will be Thursday, November 6, 2008 for 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Groesbeck Funeral Home. Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, November 7, 2008, at the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Old Union Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Shields, Sonny Turner, J. B. Watkins, Michael Bortner, Gregg Sackett and Dennis Cole. Honorary pallbearers will be Darryl Pringle and Nolan Henderson. Mildred was born April 12, 1932 at Oletha, Texas to William Alton Shields and Essie Dee Lewis Shields. She married Lewie Thomas "L.T." Davis on September 24, 1948, and lived in Spring, Texas. She was a Baptist. She is survived by her husband, L.T. Davis; son, Gary Davis and wife Sharon of Spring; daughters Terry Riley and husband David of Spring, and Jennifer Pavlicek and husband Clark of Cypress; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; brothers, J. W. Shields and wife Leovys of Thornton, and Jerry Shields and wife, Helen of Groesbeck; and sister, Shirley Batchelor and husband Don of Spring.
