Clarence Ray "Bo" Bane, of Groesbeck, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 11, 2015. Visitation will be Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Groesbeck Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Faulkenberry Cemetery. Bo was born July 23, 1951 to Nolan Ray Bane and Lena Mae (Gilbreath) Bane in Houston. He grew up in Houston and graduated from Jeff Davis High School in 1969. He worked in Houston for Southwest Bell for twenty years. Bo married the love of his life, Linda Willard, on April 11, 1987. Bo and Linda made their home in Groesbeck, and he worked for twenty years for Texas Department of Criminal Justice doing telephone work for the system from Palestine to Gatesville, before retiring. For many years, Bo was an avid horseman, participating in many trail rides. He loved fishing, hunting, and working on the farm. Most of all, he loved his family and his friends. Although he did not have children of his own, Bo loved every child he came in contact with, giving them money so they "could buy something" for themselves. He never met a stranger because he loved life and everything in it. Bo was preceded in death by his parents, Nolan and Lena Bane and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Doris and Elva Willard. He is survived by his wife, Linda Ann Willard Bane of Groesbeck; his aunt, Josie Plummer of Groesbeck; sister, Gwen Lee of Buffalo; niece, Tonya Champion, and nephews, Bubba Ayers and Timmy Ayers, all of Buffalo.
