Linda Abshire

Linda Abshire of Lake Limestone passed away at her home on Sunday, March 15, 2015. A MEMORIAL SERVICE honoring Linda’s life will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015, from 12:00 noon until 4:00 P.M. at the Kosse Community Center (come-and-go.) Linda was born June 5, 1948 in Houston to Leon and Eleanor (Rawls) Johnson. She grew up in the Houston area before moving to Lake Limestone. She loved the beach “Cajun Beach Queens” and being near the water, on the boat, fishing or swimming; the water was a true passion of hers. She had a great love for Elvis and all his musical productions as well as listening to any oldies. Cooking and having a sincere bonding relationship with her family was of the utmost importance in Linda’s life. She was a resound cook and loved having family and friends over to enjoy the feast she prepared. Another important activity in her life was hot rodding but nothing came close to the love she had for her family; especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by both parents. She is survived by her husband, Darrell Abshire of Lake Limestone; two children, Darrell and DeAnna Abshire; grandchildren, Dalton, Kody, James, Cole, Mikayla and Lexi; great-grandchildren, Lani, Levi, Dixie Lynn, Vangie, Mylie and a little one on the way.
