Michael was born on July 5, 1952 in Waco to Samuel G. Williams and Erma Taylor Williams. He grew up in Waco and graduated from LaVega High School in 1970, and then attended Texas A & M. Michael was united in marriage with Nila Ruff on September 14, 1973 in Bryan, where they lived until moving to Groesbeck in 1980. He was transferred to Groesbeck on his job with Southern Pacific Railroad where he worked as a telegrapher clerk. Michael worked as a tool designer for Alcoa Fastening System in Waco until his retirement in July 2014. Michael loved to ride motorcycles all his life, and made trips all over the country with his best friend Ray Pierce. They took off every summer, with Beartooth Mountain being his favorite destination. He also took his wife, daughter and granddaughters on some trips, sharing his love of the countryside with them. His final motorcycle was his ultimate wish, a Goldwing Honda. He and Ray had one more trip on their bucket-list that Michael did not get to make. Michael also loved music all his life and played Classic Rock on his guitar, at home with his family. He loved his family dearly and devoted his life to them. He was the beloved Papa to four granddaughters, age seven to eighteen. They shopped with him and cooked-out in the back yard, and they also shared his love of his motorcycle from the time they were big enough to hold on. Michael will be missed by all of his loved ones, with many wonderful memories of the love and life they shared. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Samuel G. Williams; his step-father, C.C.
