Lola Frances Shreve of Groesbeck passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 in Providence Hospital in Waco. Visitation will be held from 6:30-8:00 PM on Friday, November 27, 2015 at the Groesbeck Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Church of Christ in Groesbeck with Bro. Richard Williams officiating and Eddy Plummer leading congregational singing. Burial will follow at Fort Parker Cemetery. Lola was born August 12, 1942 in Groesbeck to Alva J. and Juanita E. Stewart Shreve. She grew up in Groesbeck and graduated from Groesbeck High School in 1960. After high school she went on to Navarro College in Corsicana to further her education. Lola was born in August rendering her a very proud Leo. She loved and collected lions, and she treasured her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She retired from the government in Dallas several years ago and moved back to Groesbeck. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alva and Juanita Shreve and a sister, Jerry Shreve. Lola is survived by her sisters, Nita Boehme and husband Michael of Groesbeck, Carol Fogle of Waco, Peggy Shreve of Waco; nieces and nephews, Michele McGilvray and husband Stephen of McKinney, Chris Boehme and wife Candace of Parker, Lee Fogle and wife Angie of Teague, Jinnifer Worby of Waco, David Ticknor and wife Kylee of Robinson; great-nieces and great-nephews, Mason, Caden, Kaylee, and Brady McGilvray of McKinney, Cody Boehme of Parker, MacKenzie and Brayden Fogle of Teague, and Kara and Abby Ticknor of Robinson; all of whom she loved dearly.
