Robert Riddle

Robert Riddle, of Kosse, passed away at Limestone Medical Center in Groesbeck on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at age 92. Robert was born November 1, 1923 in Keokuk, Iowa to Clarence and Gladys Riddle. Robert met Frances Ellen Martin in St. Louis, MO. and they were united in marriage on August 12, 1941 in St. Louis. As a young man Robert was in the CCC. Robert worked as a carpenter. While they were raising their children, they enjoyed many memorable vacations together. He and Frances also enjoyed polka dancing. Robert and Frances and daughter Patsy and grandchildren moved to Kosse, TX. in 1992 to enjoy the rural life. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Richard Riddle; grandson, Robert L. Riddle; and his wife Frances, after seventy-three years together, in 2014. He is survived by daughter, Diann Sanders of Riverside, TX; daughter, Debra Smith of Huntsville, TX; son Robert J. Riddle of Ft. Worth, TX; daughter, Patsy Riddle of Kosse, TX; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Tammy and Robert Hines, Sr. of Kosse; and great grandsons, Patrick Hines, Payton Hines, and Robert Hines, Jr. all of Kosse. He leaves behind a total of ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
