Kenneth William Hahneman, of rural Robertson County, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at age 88. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 3, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church of Groesbeck, with Reverend John Montgomery of the First United Methodist Church of Kosse officiating. Burial will be held Friday at 3:00 P.M. at the Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston. Mr. Hahneman was born October 26, 1920 to William J. Hahneman and Aida Marguerite Stephens Hahneman in Newark, New Jersey. He served his country in the U. S. Navy, and was in the building-construction trade in Houston before moving to this area about twelve years ago. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Gloria Hahneman, and a sister, Audrey H. Watters. He is survived by his wife, Betty Eakin Hahneman; daughter, Cathy Lynn Bromberg of Stamford, Conn; son, Geoffrey Mark Hahneman of Fairfield, Conn; daughter, Christine Michelle Malik of Birmingham, Alabama; and 9 grandchildren, David Bromberg, Elisabeth Bromberg, Matthew Bromberg, Benjamin Bromberg, Clare Hahneman, Nicholas Hahneman, Catherine Hahneman, Stephen Hahneman, and Samantha Malik.
