James Ryan Bates

James Ryan Bates of Groesbeck passed away at his home Thursday July 9, 2009 at the age of 5. Visitation will be held 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Saturday, July 11, 2009 at the Groesbeck Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 12, 2009, at the Groesbeck Church of Christ, with Brother Richard Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Cobb Cemetery. James Ryan was born July 17, 2003 to Ronnie Lynn and Kelley Dianne (Rancher) Bates in Montgomery County. He graduated in the Kingergarten Class of 2009 at G.I.S.D. Ryan is survived by his parents, Ronnie and Kelley Bates of Groesbeck; brothers, John Mark Hill of Austin and Dustin and Jody Bates of Groesbeck; sisters, Kassie and Casey Bourgeois of Groesbeck; aunt and uncle, Mike and Sonya German of Groesbeck; cousins, Chad and Jake German of Groesbeck; nephews Hunter Bates and Trevor Bourgeois; grandparents, Linda and Rand Bates of Groesbeck; and the Kindergarten Class of 2009. Ryan is preceded in death by great grandparents Roy and Helen Bates. Pallbearers are Travoy Roy, Jake German, Chad German, John Mark Hill, Dustin Bates, Artist Nevels.
