Doris Jean (Lewis) Williams

Doris Jean (Lewis) Williams passed away at Herman Memorial Hospital in the Woodlands on Friday, October 14, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. (with Visitation from 10:00 to 11:00) on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend David Riley of Grace Family Fellowship will officiate, and burial will follow in the Old Union Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Engel, Andrew Engel, Danny Shields, Mike Lewis, Gary Davis, and Jerry Don Shields. Honorary pallbearers will be J. W. Shields and Don Bachelor. Doris Jean was born May 1, 1938 to John L. and Elise Marie Lewis in Coolidge. Doris Jean was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Johnny Wayne Lewis. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Kurt Gorrell of Spring; daughter, Debra Elise Turner of Mansfield; son, Eddy A. "Sonny" Turner, Jr. of Spring; grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Matthew and Amy Engel and Andrew and Melissa Engel; grandson, Dawson Turner; and great grandchildren, Morgan Engel, Jackson Engel, and Madelyn Engel.
