Billy Glen Holmes

Billy Holmes of Groesbeck passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple at the age of 60. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 2 PM in the First Baptist Church of Mexia with Pastor Jimmy Cotton and Rev. Marcus Sheffield officiating. The Urn Bearers will be John Gilliam, Wade Wiley, Bobby DuBois, Atwell Goins, Sr., Atwell Goins, Jr., Clayton Goins, Lee Buford, Jackie Dillon, Billy Don York, Montey Cain, Kevin Painter, James Tennyson, Blair Carroll, Jesse Shaw, Mark Waddell, Chad Mizell, Ryan Campbell, Thomas Taylor, Steve Gilliam, and Kelly McReynolds. Billy is survived by his wife, Charla Holmes of Groesbeck; sons, Andy Holmes and wife Roni of San Antonio and John Holmes and wife Megan of Groesbeck; daughter, Lauren Holmes and Chad Mizell of Corsicana; mother, Elenor Holmes of Mexia; brother, Marc Holmes of Donie; sister, Jean Holmes of Fairfield; granddaughter, Charlee Kaye Holmes of Groesbeck and niece, Reagan Bates and husband Larry of Mexia.
