Julian Guzman of Groesbeck passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston with his loving wife of 24 years by his side. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 6-8 PM at the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 11AM Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Groesbeck Funeral Home with Rev. Tracy Sims and his best friend Lue Steele officiating. Burial will follow at Faulkenberry Cemetery. Julian was born November 9, 1954 in San Juan Texas to Julian T. and Epifania (Hernandez) Guzman. Some of his fondest past times was helping family driving trucks in the fields. Julian was most passionate about traveling and has been on nearly 30 cruises and his love for cruising started from his first trip on the ferries crossing Lake Michigan. He loved fishing with the grand-kids. A warm heartfelt thanks goes out to the family of the donor that saved his life 8 years ago. He is preceded in death by his father Julian T. Guzman and mother Epifania Hernandez Guzman. Julian is survived by his wife, Joni (Love) Guzman of Groesbeck; children, Tomas Guzman and wife Olga of Groesbeck, Rachel Guzman of Altus, OK and Julie Gattis of Groesbeck; siblings, Mary Leal, Romona Franks, Lupe Guzman, Janie Guzman Tripp and Ralph Guzman; 8 grandsons, Brenden Woodall, Donovan Hardeman, Braiden Hardeman, Tomas D. Guzman, Curtis Puckett, Cristian Guzman, Cayleb Guzman and Joseph Guzman.
