Dwaine Lewis Sanders

Dwaine Lewis Sanders, of Groesbeck, passed away at Windsor Healthcare Residence on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at age 82. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Pavilion in Faulkenberry Cemetery. Dwaine was born January 11, 1935 in the Criswell Community to Shelby Sanford Sanders and Mellie Elizabeth Parker Sanders. Dwaine lived with his parents all his life, living in Houston from age two through 1984, when the family moved to Groesbeck. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his Dad and cousins. Dwaine loved his coffee with his Mom and Dad, and later in Windsor, where he had lived the past ten years. His time at Windsor was the first time he had lived away from home and gave him some independence, and enjoyed this life. He watched Westerns on TV and enjoyed all the games and activities. He loved everyone there and they loved him. He is survived by his sister, Charlotte Spielberg of Groesbeck; nieces, Celeste Dunn of Waco and Catherine Tobola of Groesbeck; nephew, Steven Spielberg of Kosse; great nieces, Halie Hall of Groesbeck and Caitlyn Tobola of Waco; great-great nephew, Grayson Allen of Groesbeck; 2 aunts, and multiple cousins.
