Lee Ray Duke of Mabank, formerly Groesbeck passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 in Gun Barrel City, Texas. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11AM in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Powell of Corsicana officiating. Lee Ray was born in Waco on June 14, 1981 to Robby W. Duke and Patricia Lynn Kilgore. He had a passion for playing the guitar and enjoyed fishing, although sometimes killing his dad’s bait. He also loved the outdoors be it in the woods, working or just enjoying nature. He will be remembered for his happy go lucky attitude and had a good heart as well as a very comical nature and could have been another Jim Carry comedian. His was preceded in death by his grandfather, Garland Kilgore and step-grandfather, Sylvester Cantrell. Lee Ray is survived by his father and step-mother, Robby & Kathy Duke of Groesbeck and mother and step-father, Patricia & George Wilcox of Mabank; step-brother, George Wilcox, Jr.; wife, Elizabeth Duke of Mexia; daughter, Amber L. Kimmons of Bryan; brothers, John W. Duke and wife Melody of Groesbeck and Christopher L. Duke of Groesbeck; sister, Alicia L. Duke of Houston; grandparents, Bob & Shirley Fewell of Groesbeck, Peggy & Tom Bozeman of Coolidge; step-grandmother, Mildred Cantrell of Kirven well as other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
