William Wayne Barber Jr., born 30 November 1973, went to be with his God in Heaven at 7:09 on the third day of May, 2017. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 12 Noon – 2PM at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church on Friday, May 5, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017at 2PM at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Mexia with Pastor Paul Moore officiating. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 2PM in Bunton Cemetery in Dale, TX just outside Lockhart. He will be buried with his maternal Grandparents, George and Leona Dennison. Wayne went to Groesbeck schools before attending college in Texas State Technical Institute in Waco. He worked various jobs including Computer Technician and Security service. He developed many friends in the Dallas area where he spent most of his time working and playing. He even did a stint as a ‘roady’ for an eightys style metal band called ASKA. He was known and loved far and wide, and although he wore the moniker of ‘Kilt Dude’ while in the Dallas area for his ‘wearing of the kilt’, he only managed to visit Scotland one time, with his family in 1994. He was a member of cast at Scarborough Faire and even as a playtron in other fairs around the state and even into Kansas. Pallbearers will be Corey Kelly, Tim Smith, Bryan Carlton, Lee Barber, John Barber, Brandon Harlan. He is survived by his parents, William and Mitsy Barber, of Mexia, Sister, Rachel Ruth Fowler and her husband, Ricky Fowler, with their children , Chris Fowler, Chris Barber, David Hays, and Chance Fowler, as well as numerous Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins.
