Joe Louis Bell

Joe Louis Bell, of Old Union, passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at age 80. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 14, 2017, in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain Jon Honea officiating. Joe was born December 6, 1936 to Jack and Ozelle (Hughes) Bell. He worked at Abco Furniture factory until it closed. Joe married May Jones on November 5, 1982. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved working in his garden and fishing. He is survived by his wife Mary Bell of Old Union; son Johnny Bell of Mexia; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Daryl Ferguson of Personville; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Samantha Bell of Bremond, and daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Michael Wyers of Mexia. He had eight grandchildren: Aaron Bell and Britney Mevis; Daryl Ferguson, Jr. and wife Johanna;. Dustin Ferguson and Jessica Johnson; Jessica Oliveras; David Martin; Jaysa Bell; Dalton Wyers; and Devyn Wyers; and 10 great grandchildren.
