Helen (Jones) Jenkins

Helen Jenkins of Groesbeck passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Groesbeck LTC. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 5-7 PM at the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 11 AM in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Jon Honea and Lee Wieler officiating. Burial will follow at Seale-Round Prairie Cemetery. Pallbearers will be M. D.(Buster) Buchanan, G. R. Jones, Ray Jones, Ken Neyland, Mike Hogan, and Ted Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers are Dewey Jones and Colin Neyland. Helen was born April 1, 1926 in rural Limestone County to Geo. Robert and Harriet (Brooks) Jones. She is preceded in death by both parents; sisters, Gussie Dossey, Ola McCurry, Tina Buchanan, LT Padgett, Gladys Neyland, and Vida Hogan; brothers, Roy Jones and Odes Jones; and her husband, Fred Jenkins. Helen is survived by numerous nieces and nephews: Sidney Charlton of College Station; Yvonne Blair and husband, Mike of Bryan; Betty Cowart & husband, Gene of Houston; Ruth Schulte of Houston; M.D. (Buster) Buchanan of Marquez; Colin Neyland and wife, Noreen of Bald Prairie; Ken Neyland and wife, Delores of Seale; Mike Hogan of Thornton; Mary Ann Truett of Kosse; Barbara Warren of Houston; Coleta Jones of Houston; Alec Craig of Taylor; Ted Jenkins and wife, Susan of Floral City, Fla.; G.R. Jones of Bullard; Ray Jones and wife, Mary Elizabeth of Huntsville; and Dewey Jones and wife, Marlene of Waco.
