Leya Annette (Thompson) Hoover passed away at home on Sunday, January 14, 2018, at age 49. Vistation will be Monday, January 22, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Fort Parker Memorial Park cemetery, with Reverend Tracy Sims of the Central Baptist Church of Thornton officiating. Pallbearers will be Mookie Wallace, John Webster, Robert Webster, Wesley Sexton, Luis Gomez, Jr., Wesley Curton, Braxton Hill and Bryson Hill. Leya was born December 4, 1968 in Houston, TX. to William O'Neal Thompson and Georgia Jean (Hauser) Thompson. The family to Groesbeck in 1977 where she attended school. Throughout life she enjoyed playing rummie, coloring, working at the tire shop, and Indian things. She enjoyed listening to music. She loved being around her grandkids. She like solving her crossword puzzles. She like to cook and maybe just enjoyed mixing a bunch of crazy things together. She was preceded in death by her father, William "Bill" Thompson; brothers, Nathan Thompson and Steven Thompson; maternal grandmother, Lilly Hauser; uncle Dale Hauser and aunt Jane Hauser; grandfather, August Hauser; paternal grandparents, Nathan Thompson and Annie Ruth. She is survived by her mother, Jeannie Thompson of Groesbeck; son, William Barton and wife Monica of Groesbeck; daughter, Jeannie Hoover of Groesbeck; daughter, Ashley Hoover of Kosse; brother, Larry Thompson of Groesbeck; husband, Hershel Hoover of Groesbeck; and six grandchildren: Braxton Hill, Bryson Hill, Brady Hoover, Jaycee Curlin, Madden Barton, and Nathan Hoover (all of Groesbeck, except Jaycee and Nathan from Kosse.)
