Mary Adeline (Miller) Matson, of Groesbeck, sucummed to leukemia, at the Limestone Medical Center on Sunday, June 27, 2010, at age 72. Visitation will be held Friday, July 2, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Groesbeck Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 3, 2010, at the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Billy Anderson of the Victory Baptist Church officiating. Cremation will follow at a later date. Mary was born March 8, 1938, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to Homer and Isabel (Cozart) Miller. She married Robert Matson on February 14, 1991, and their combined surviving families include her son, Jeffrey Overton; his son, Mark Matson; and his daughter, Tiffany Matson. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Mary graduated as a dental assistant from the Louisville, Kentucky School of Dentistry, and worked as a dental assistant and office manager for over 40 years before retiring in Groesbeck, Texas in 2002. Mary and Robert moved to Groesbeck in 2002. Mary was a member of the Victory Baptist Church, the Tuesday Morning Stitchers, and volunteered at the Limestone Medical Center. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; she will be missed by all.
