Virginia Pauline “Ginger” Hartline, of Groesbeck, passed away at Limestone Medical Center on Thursday, July 8, 2010, at age 61. Visitation will be Monday, July 12, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Groesbeck Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Lee Wright, minister with Ward Street Church of Christ of Marlin officiating. Burial will follow at the Old Union Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christopher Hartline, Cedric Mathis, William Flippin, Jeff Matous, and Doug Matous. Virginia was born July 1, 1949, to Billy Ray Massey and Ruth Louise Armstrong Massey in Waco. She grew up primarily in the Mart and Waco area, although the family lived in various locations while Mr. Massey was employed with Brown and Root Construction. Ginger was united in marriage with Douglas Ray Hartline on October 20, 1979 in Waco, where they lived until moving to Groesbeck about 7 years ago. She was a wife, mother and homemaker, and was a caregiver for her mother and father after moving close to them. Virginia was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Massey last year. She is survived by her husband of thirty years, Doug Hartline of Groesbeck; a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Jennifer Hartline of Waco; a daughter and son-in-law, Meredith and Cedric Mathis of Waco; her father, Bill Massey of Groesbeck; grandson, Harrison Hartline and granddaughter, Hailey Hartline of Waco; a sister and brother-in-law, Janis and Bobby Moon of Robinson; a sister, Denise Matous of Waco; 5 nieces and their spouses, Kathy and Chris Shaw of Waco, Diana and Jeff Matous of Temple, Valerie and Jason Stambaugh of Waco, Heather and William Flippin of Kosse, and Nikki and John Braun of Benton, AR; two nephews and their spouses, Lee and Tara Wright of Marlin, and C.V. and Stacy Hartline of Portland, OR; and nine great nieces and nephews.
