Margaret L. Coe

Margaret L. Coe, daughter of the late Jack B. and Annie (Smith) Stewart of Groesbeck, was called to her heavenly home in the early morning hours of Thursday, September 2, 2010, surrounded by her loving family, at age 94. Visitation will be Friday, September 3, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Groesbeck Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2010, at 2:00 P.M., at the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Jerry Fulton officiating. Burial will follow at La Salle Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Blake McIntyre, Dylan McGuffee, Cleve Ferguson, Jerod Ferguson, Dennis Allen Walton, and Chase Killingsworth. Margaret was born on November 8, 1915 to Jack and Annie Stewart in Limestone County. She was united in marriage with Joseph Reuben Coe, on November 21, 1931, and they had been married 52 years when he passed away in 1983. Mrs. Coe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph R. Coe; her youngest daughter, Mrs. Neva Jo (Bittie) Cardona; two great-granddaughters, Rachel Smith and Lisa Hearne; and all of her 6 brothers and 4 sisters. She is survived by her son, Mr. James R. Coe of Groesbeck; daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Janice) Taylor of Groesbeck, and Mrs. Joyce Ferguson Killingsworth of Mexia; as well as 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren.
