Tammie Lynn Nicholson, of Groesbeck, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, September 12, 2010, at age 41. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 15, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Groesbeck Funeral Home. Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 16, 2010, at the Church on the Rock, with Pastor Billy Beaver and Pastor Randy Ayres officiating. Burial will follow at Faulkenberry Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert White, Jay Sanders, Devin Wilson, Justin McLean, Joe Chambers, Barry Johnson, Matt Owen, Bubby Foley, and Johnny Willis; and serving as Honorary Pallbears are Jody Goodman and Craig Champion. Tammie was born on July 9, 1969, to Robert and Eddie Helen (Engram) Nicholson in Waco. She grew up and attended school in Groesbeck, graduating high school with the class of 1987; she was a true Groesbeck Goat. In High School, she was active in Band and the Student Council; and always instrumental in the Class of 1987 reunions. After graduation, Tammie attended the School of Court Reporting in Arlington for a period; and then opened her own beauty salon, Unique Cuts, for several years. She was a faithful employee of the Housing Authority of Groesbeck for 17 years. She was a friend to many, and known and loved for her huge heart and generosity. Tammie became a member of the First Baptist Church of Groesbeck on May 4, 1980, and lately had attended the Church on the Rock. Tammie was preceded in death by her mother, Eddie Helen Nicholson in 1986 (when Tammie was 15 years old); her maternal grandparents, Joe Edd Engram and Virgie Engram; and her paternal grandparents, R.D. and Mary Little and J.W. Nicholson. She is survived by her daughter, Faith Helen Nicholson of Groesbeck; her father Robert Nicholson of Groesbeck; her fiancé, Billy Quinlan of Centerville; and a host of close family and friends.
