Courtney Elaine Longbotham, of Waco, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2010, as a result of an automobile accident in Austin. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., at the Groesbeck Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church of Groesbeck. Pallbearers will be Truman Arney, Blake Rampy, Jeff Vines, Bradley Harryman, Kyle Logan, Bobby Lewis, John Mark Curry, and Pedro Rodriguez. Courtney was born December 16, 1982, in Waco, Texas. She was a talented hair stylist at the Cutting Edge Salon in Waco. Courtney graduated from Groesbeck High School in 2001 as one of its most popular students. She was class president, head cheerleader, Miss G.H.S., prom queen, most involved, class favorite, student council vice-president, yearbook editor, and Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce Youth Citizen of the Year. She was also an accomplished tennis player, and greatly enjoyed playing for her daddy. She was a life-long member of First United Methodist Church of Groesbeck. Courtney was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Pauline Dennis, and her paternal grandmother, Betty Louise Longbotham. Courtney is survived by her parents, Jim and Colleen Longbotham; her sister and brother-in-law, Lauren and Tod Meisner; her sister, Megan Longbotham; her finance, Jason O'Neal; grandparents, Tom and Martha Longbotham; grandfather, Howard Dennis; aunts and uncles, Ken and Kathleen Vines of Plano, Melissa and Mike Arney of Groesbeck, Cliff and Sherry Rampy of Tomball, Alys Longbotham of Austin; numerous cousins, and many friends.
