Troxell and Eunah Jordan Troxell in Greenbrier, AR. He grew up in Arkansas, and attended The University of Arkansas, where he played college football for 4 years for the Razorbacks. While still in college, Jack was united in marriage with his childhood sweetheart (since age 12), Sue Henrye Martin. They married on June 22, 1952, at the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro, AR, and four daughters were born of this union. After Jack graduated with a Business Degree he was drafted by the Chicago Cardinals, and played professional football with them for three years, until an injury caused a change in his career. He then had a long career in sales, moving to the Houston area in 1959. In later years, Jack taught high school in LaPorte for 5 years. Jack was a member of the Woodridge Baptist Church. He was a golfer, and enjoyed duck hunting and quail hunting, and loved going back to the family farm in Arkansas. He never quit loving his home state. All his life, he followed the Razorback football team, and also enjoyed watching his old teammate, Pat Summerall, on the sports broadcasts on T.V. He retired due to health reasons in 2001, and later moved to Thornton in 2009 to be closer to family. Mr. Troxell was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Sue Henrye Troxell in 1984; and both of his brothers, A. J. Troxell, Jr. and Billy Faye Troxell.
