Denise Elizabeth Nobles of Groesbeck passed away Saturday morning October 30, 2010 at Limestone Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. A rosary will be held Monday, November 1, 2010, at 7 PM at the Groesbeck Funeral Home with visitation prior to and following the rosary. Mass will be held Tuesday November 2, 2010 at 2 PM at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Mexia with Father Benji officiating. Burial will follow at Nobles Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Russell Pollock, Tommy Rutledge, Michael Carter, Bill Neason, Thomas Hartwell, and Christopher Perez. Denise was born March 12, 1955 in El Paso to Ralph and Rose (Siegel) Kastner. On August 20, 1983 she was united in marriage with Jesse Nobles in Houston and they began their life together. She was employed for S&H convenient store in Groesbeck where she was known my many for her witty personality and warm service. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rose Kastner and brother Ron Kastner. Mrs. Nobles was survived by her husband, Jesse E. Nobles of Thornton; son, David Nobles and wife Donna of Groesbeck; daughters, Michelle Mullinnix and husband James of Groesbeck, Jessica Tollet of Groesbeck and Christina Woodall of Groesbeck; nieces, Brandy Kastner-Hood of New Braunfels and Keri Kastner of Austin; father, Ralph Kastner of El Paso; sister-in-law, Jean Kastner; seventeen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
