Allene Elizabeth Reed

Allene Elizabeth Reed, born on January 22, 1946, passed away on July 5, 2024, at the age of 78.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Groesbeck Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Brandon Verm of the Central Baptist Church of Thornton officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Reed, John Reed, John Reed Jr., Nicholas Charping, Gavin Reed, and Leo McGilvray.

Allene was a remarkable real estate agent and entrepreneur. From her beginnings in the carpet cleaning business, she expanded her ventures to owning gas stations and rental properties. Allene's journey from humble beginnings to great success was fueled by her dedication, integrity, and love. Her legacy of hard work and perseverance will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Allene is now reunited in heaven with her mother, Janie Hill, her father, Roy Hill, her husband, John Hollie Reed, and her brothers and sister, Danny, Clifford, and Hazel.

 She is survived by her son, John Reed; her daughter, Holly Nichols; and her cherished grandchildren: Jeffrey Reed and his wife Julie, Christian Kennemore and her husband Jeff, Nikolas Charping, John Reed Jr., and Gavin Reed. She also leaves behind her beloved great-grandchildren: Scarlet, Hollie, Emery, Evelynn, and Nathaniel.
