Alta Iva Hyden, of Groesbeck, passed away at Skilled Care in Mexia on Sunday, April 7, 2019, at age 86.
Alta was born August 29, 1932 in Magnolia to Vernie Cronin and Annie Bentley Cronin. She grew up and attended school in Magnolia and lived there most of her life until moving to Limestone County about fifteen years ago. Two of her daughters also moved to Limestone County after she moved to this area.
Alta was a mother and homemaker and also worked as a home health caregiver in private homes for all her adult life. She was a member of the Church of Christ and attended the Old Union Church of Christ after moving to Limestone County. She was married to Howard Hyden for a few years prior to his death.
Alta was preceded in death by her parents; all her siblings; and her husband Howard Hyden.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Billy and Madlyn Heaton of Groesbeck; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Roberta Waits of Magnolia; and daughter and son-in-law, Wayne and Verna Hicks of Thornton; eight grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Old Union Church of Christ.
