Becky Jean Ensminger

January 10, 1968 — November 15, 2020

Becky Jean (Kirkland) Ensminger, of Kosse, gained her wings on Sunday, November 15, 2020, at age 52.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 21 in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Rex Bland officiating.  Burial will follow in the Kosse City Cemetery.

Becky was born January 10, 1968 to Franklin D. Kirkland and Carla (Willingham) Kirkland in Waco.    The family lived in Reagan and then Bremond, where Becky attended school.

Becky was united in marriage with Donny Ensminger, whom she had known most of her life, on October 3, 1992 in Kosse.   They made their home in Kosse.

Becky was a loving wife to Donny, and was as close to his mother, Nora Ensminger as if she was her own mother.    Becky was the epitome of unconditional love; there was no-one she did not love to some extent.     She especially loved her nieces and nephews, loving them as if they were her own children.  She was like a second mother to her sisters’ kids.   They knew they could go to her for anything they needed, and she also knew she could count on them.    Becky also loved her 5 dogs as if they were her kids.

Becky was a community service volunteer for many occasions.   Her hobbies were gardening and crafts.   She had a green thumb in growing all kinds of plants and collected seeds to have new things to grow.  She also enjoyed crafting with beads, making jewelry and making quilts.   Becky had a very strong faith in the Lord.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Carla Kirkland; her father-in-law, Don Ensminger; and her brother-in-law (who was as close a real brother), Curt Persilver.

She is survived by her husband, Donny Ensminger of Kosse; her mother-in-law (whom she loved like a mother), Nora Ensminger of Kosse; sister, Terry Persilver of Axtell; sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Kelly Austin of Kosse; sister and brother-in-law, Rachel and Cheston Rowe of Mart; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Anna Ensminger of Kosse; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kevin and Cindy Ensminger of Kosse; an uncle, Dan Willingham of Mart; and her beloved nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
