Bisenta Garcia, of Groesbeck and recently living in Wortham, passed away at Providence Hospice in Waco on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at age 80. Visitation will begin at 10:00, prior to the Celebration of Life Service to begin at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel. Bisenta was born April 4, 1938 to Pete Rogers and Maria Gonzalez Rogers in Buckholts and attended school in Sharp. As a young woman, she was united in marriage with Luis Garcia. They lived in West Texas about five years, before moving to Groesbeck, where she lived the rest of her life, until recently moving to Wortham to be with family. Bisenta worked at Hobbs in Groesbeck, in production, until retiring after thirty-five years. In addition to her meals prepared for her family and church, she was especially known by the family to make the best home-made tortillas. She was a member of Monte Carmelo Church in Groesbeck, where she was actively involved in her church. Mrs. Garcia was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Maria Rogers; her husband, Luis Garcia; brothers, Conrad Rogers and Emil Rogers; sisters, Betty Ellis and Lupita Rogers and five half-sisters. She is survived by four sons and a daughter: Joe Garcia and wife Diann of Alabama, Luis Garcia and wife Avelina of Wortham, Isabel Millhouse and husband James of Elgin; Frank Garcia of Conroe, and Victor Garcia of Groesbeck; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; her brother, Lorenzo Rogers of Waco; and numerous nieces and nephews.
