Daryl Glen Ferguson, Sr. of Groesbeck, passed away at Scott and White Hospital in Temple on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at age 58. A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 3, 2018 in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Clifton Jones officiating. Daryl was born March 31, 1960 to Arthur Edward Ferguson and Beverly Tucker Ferguson in Louisiana. He was married to Judy Lynn Bell. He worked as a pipe welder. Daryl, aka Dooley was, to say the least, one of a kind. Those who truly knew him know what a kind and caring heart he had. He will be forever remembered as the "fun" PawPaw. He enjoyed spending time fishing or just tinkering around with his grandsons. He loved poking and messing with his only granddaughter, much to her dismay. That's the one thing about Big Daryl, you could be so quick to get mad at him but just as quick to forgive and forget. All he had to do was flash that side grin of his that lit up those baby blues of his, and all you could do was smile back. He will be deeply missed from all those who had the privilege of meeting him. We know he's up there right now, playing dominoes with PaPa and Wesley, with that chewed-up Marlboro. RIP Daryl -Dooley - PawPaw, you will be forever in our hearts. He is survived by his wife, Judy Ferguson; son and daughter-in-law, Daryl Ferguson Jr. and wife, Johanna and their sons, Bryston Ferguson, Camden Ferguson, and Kovan (Bam Bam) and their daughter, Jaylee Ferguson; son, Dustin Ferguson; honorary son P. J. Crabb and his son Rowdy; his mother, Beverly Ferguson; and his brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Shirley Ferguson and nephew, Brady Ferguson and niece Brandi Ferguson.
