Elizabeth Ann “Liz” Vogt, of Bryan/College Station, passed away at the Western Hills Nursing Home in Temple on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at age 70.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 28, 2023, in the Kosse City Cemetery, where her parents are buried. Pastor Kevin Randolf will be officiating.
Elizabeth was born on February 25, 1953, in Alice, Texas to Walter Dee Crabb and Geneva Kathleen (Owens) Crabb. While her father was serving as a minister, the family lived in several different towns, including Houston, Crockett and Hearne. She graduated from high school in 1971 and also took several college courses until her marriage.
Liz devoted her life to her family as a full-time mother for her children. She enjoyed making quilts for each family member and knitting blankets for the grandchildren. About twenty years ago, she moved to Bryan/College Station where a sister lived. She was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Bryan.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Geneva Crabb; husband, David Vogt; two brothers, Bobby Crabb and Roger Crabb; a sister, Beverly Gazelle; and two grandchildren, Penelope Vogt and Leonard Vogt.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David and Maile Vogt; three daughters, Angela and husband Broddrick Bailey, Shoshana Vogt, and Rachel Walton. She has 9 surviving grandchildren: Broddrick Bailey, Elizabeth Bailey, Lacy Bailey, Shelbi Gray, William Walton, Damien Keyes, Malachi Mackey, Shawn Wooten, and Lilyana Vogt. She is also survived by 4 sisters, Patricia Bates, Deborah Chapman, Judy Gordon, and Elaine Honeycutt, as well as nieces and nephews.
