Ella Marie (Thompson) Kelly

Ella Marie (Thompson) Kelly, 94, was born June 20, 1927, in Kosse, TX. and passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022, in Cypress, TX.     

Family and friends may meet at Groesbeck Funeral Home by 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 to travel in the procession to the Graveside services at Ebenezer Cemetery (near Kosse), which will begin at 1:00 p.m.  Rev. Jack Wren of the First Baptist Church of Kosse will be officiating.         

Ella lived a rich and full life and was a wonderful mother and grandmother.   The family feels blessed to have had her for as long as she was living, and she will be greatly missed but never forgotten.  

Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Kelly; her parents, Everett Thompson and Elma (Brown) Thompson; brothers, Arnold, Curtis and Leldon Thompson; and her beloved sister, Faye Chambers.

She is survived by daughters, Donna Guinn (Wendell) of Pasadena; Marie Simon (Toby) of Houston; and son, Tommy Kelly (Lydia) of Cypress; grandchildren, Michelle Sweeney, Stacey Prior (Matt), Stephen Guinn, Justin Simon, Valerie Zermeno (Daniel), and Cres Kelly;  8 great grandchildren, Adrian, Jayden, Sydney, Averie, Logan, Jordyn, Everett and Tristan.    She also has two surviving sisters, Olene Bundy and Mary Wright, both of Houston, and nieces and nephews.
